Titanic The Exhibition comes to Barcelona Maritime Museum.

From March 23 to September 30, 2012 Just in time to commemorate thecentennial year of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, Titanic The Exhibition comes toBarcelona Maritime Museum. The exhibition takes the visitor back in time and lets you know how fleeting life was aboard the ship, from its conception andconstruction to the current state of the remains of nearly 4 kilometers deep in the North Atlantic. Its nearly 200 real objects, faithful recreations of the interior roomsof the liner as the cabins or the corridors of the first class, and how the exhibition features the true story of the ship, have made it one of the exhibitions more visited in the world.

Among these original objects that can be found in it include the full passenger list, approved and certified by laWhite Star Line on May 31, 1912 (the only preservedtoday), a piece of more than 2 kilos weight of coal Titanic (part of the boiler no. 1, which was working until the last minute), or the two original letters written by hisTitanic first Officer William Murdoch. Parts of the dishes of first class, the original list of bodies recovered from the tragedy, books, letters, photographs, shoes, ticket or boarding card navigation never before shown, are other fragments of the stories of the Titanic between where visitors will dive during your visit.

To make this work informative, Titanic The Exhibition has its own specialist, CGWetterholm, Titanic historian for more than thirty years and one of the people who participated in expeditions to rescue the wreck throughout the nineties.
